'The Defiant Stand' was a great effort, but Irish deathsters, Slave Zero, have left it in the dirt with this rather relentless new MCD. Actually, 'deathsters' sells them a little short (although those 'Cause of Death' t-shirts speak volumes about their old school influences), because they incorporate some impressive technical flourishes amidst the crushing breakdowns (Hatebreed meets Schuldiner!!), and manage to maintain high levels of intensity during even the most ponderous passages.
